Stop Playing Defense!

Many readers and passers by have the inclination to form traditional America/Patriot groupings/communities.  This is all well and good, even necessary.  HOWEVER, there is work to be done RIGHT NOW to make the task easier later.

What I am talking about is perhaps going to take the Readership aback a tad.  What I am proposing is for Readers to research, find and then infiltrate any and all organizations that smack of communism, socialism, totalitarianism. In short, the political and economic underbelly of the progressive Borg.

"Professor" Melissa Click, Progressive on display.  How many cats do you think she has?
You would be right to ask, "to what purpose?"... and I will tell you right here and now that it is to perform the reconnaissance role of the scout, to learn all you can about the goals, aims, structure and individuals that make up these organizations.  Yes, this will entail burying your emotions on the various topics to allow you to get proximity and access.  This will enable you to see with your own eyes, hear with your own ears the workings of the mechanisms.

Armored vehicles for Preppers in a "Come as you are conflict"

In a future chaotic world more reminiscent of modern Brazil than "On the Beach" or "Mad Max", it is clear that every day people will require a means to travel from A to B without becoming sniper or IED bait.  They will also need a way to overpower hasty road blocks set by extra judicial killing squads.  These are all features of Iraq, of Brazil to a somewhat lesser degree and other garden hot spots of the globe.

Trump, Chicago and Rahm-bo

The 2016 Presidential Campaign is beyond being a poker match, it is approaching 3D Chess in complexity and depth.

The Progressive People's Militia (what else would you call it?), which is composed of dozens of front organizations and controlled by a Vast Left Wing Conspiracy (plain as day to those who can see, and read...) is admitted to in public forums, by communists who see no need to keep it covert any more:

Familiar Tactics: American Progressives and Palestinians

"American progressives and the tactics of the Palestinians"

I ran across this article on Twitter.  I am posting it here because it accurately compares and summarizes Palestinian struggle movement tactics with what is happening in the realm of the Trump campaign protests.

Go there and read it.

The Red in the Streets of Chicago

The raging 40 yard dumpster fire that is Chicago and the almost Trump speech has cleared the decks of all other news items.  Many Americans who might see the events and maybe even read about them here (less likely every year that the Dept of Education works at it) may not have the reference points of the Cold War and actual experience with Commies.

Dust in the Wind - a look back at relatively recent sensor technology

In case the Readership is not clued in to the inner workings of the intersection of academia and the Department of Defense, I'd like to take this opportunity to bring this to your attention - the Ivory Tower (in this case, UC Berkeley, bastion of communism) developed a new generation of sensor that has some rather interesting applications as well as implications.  I introduce to you

"Smart Dust".

As a personal aside, I had NOTHING to do whatsoever with the development of Smart Dust.  I did take the time to review the concept for military applications circa 2002-2003 for experimental use in scenarios and adding guidance on what the shape of the future battlespace might be.

SHTF Self-Education Series: The Coming Anarchy: A book review by Partyzantski

I am reviewing a book today that has been on my shelf for quite some time.  It bears a copyright of 2000, the edition I am covering here is the 2001 edition by First Vintage Books.  To put this book in some historical context, the aftermath of the Cold War was still being processed and the rotting timbers of the post Soviet state were still actively falling asunder.

The key takeaway from this book is a vision of what the future looks like, because we have been living amongst it and not noticed.  The future is the hollow state, with sharply defined haves and have nots... it is a hypersegregated world not unlike Brazil.  Why is this important for the readership here?  It is important as it provides an alternate set of planning assumptions for the crowd generally known as "preppers".  While it is a relief to consider that the world will probably not be rendered a moonscape through limited nuclear war (if such a thing exists), the proposed grinding, chaotic fallen nation states that will carry on are not exactly comforting.

Trumpentum: The Unstoppable Power of a Leaderless Idea

This week's book review by co-blogger and retired USMC Intelligence Officer, Partyzantski, discusses the business pop culture book,

The Starfish and The Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations"

Certainly, the book made quite a splash when it was first published, and in the greatest irony of ironies, its authors were invited to speak at various US Department of Defense symposia and presentations.

So, how does the “unstoppable momentum” of the Trump phenomena (“Trumpentum”) fit into the “Starfish” paradigm?

Book Review Tuesday: The Starfish and the Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations

In a break with my usual reading subject matter, from time to time I step clean off of the ranch into other topics that, strangely enough, loop right back to where I started!

The book that is under review here is the paperback by Ori Brafman and Rod A Beckstrom.  The specific edition is copyright 2006 and is published by Decentralized Revolution, LLC; ISBN # 978-1-59184-183-8.  Readers with some area specific knowledge and background may suss out why I picked this up off the shelf, I'll get to that in due time.
